The
WFM
Prayer Missions Base is volunteer relational structure
woven with a fabric of prayer. The
Missions Base is not a church but is comprised of distinct
volunteer ministries that enjoy a gracious cooperation as one
spiritual family within the larger body of Christ. Each of
our volunteers remains in their own local fellowship of believers.
The centerpiece of this Missions Base is the Midwest Prayer
Center, a 24/7 prayer facility. HISTORY:
In
1727, an Intercessory Missions Base was established in Germany by
Count Zinzendorf. They began prayer meetings that continued
twenty-four hours a day for over one hundred years, resulting in
the first Protestant missions movement in history, known as the
Moravians. They discovered that night and day prayer releases
evangelism and missions. To this we say, "Yes, Lord. Do this
all over the earth, even in our day!" NOW:
As
God is bubbling up a prayer movement all over the globe that will
usher in the return of His Son. One of the specific prayer
strategies He is orchestrating in this very critical hour of human
history is the raising up of night and day prayer. Continual,
persistent, persevering prayer is a significant facet to the
establishment of the kingdom of God in our cities. It is vital
that, as we say “yes” to the mandate to establish His house of
prayer, we receive the 1) proper training, 2) encouragement and 3)
impartation so that we may build for longevity. The WFM Missions Base is under the guidance of Pastors:
The WFM Missions Base carries several functions that express themselves, not just on the base, but across the region:
- The new Midwest Prayer Center (a new 24/7 Prayer facility NOW OPEN) - The Field Spiritual Equipping Center (Spiritual Training Center) - Advancing Church Ministries - In Christ Image Training Center (ICIT) Training Facility - The Center to Restore Trafficked and Exploited Children (teams that specifically work with rescued children) - Encountering God Sessions (every Saturday night at the Midwest Prayer Center) - Glory Road series of regional evening conferences.
The Mission Base is powered by an army of volunteers from many churches and fellowships across the area. These volunteers gather in volunteer groups called 'Companies'. These companies work together to serve and build the purposes of the WFM Missions Base as an emerging 'PLACE OF REFUGE'.
At
the very center of all we do is a clear identity in pursuing a
calling in PRAYER to BEHOLD the Lord and allow Him to change and
maneuver us into HIS perfect plan for our lives.
There
are Several Ministry companies of volunteers:
The WFM Missions Base is focused on training and equipping within and without. We view all staff, locations used, facilities and operations within this regional prayer ministry as being part of the Missions Base
This
will happen primarily in and through prayer and we are proceeding
toward the mandate of Night and Day prayer.
It is at the core of all we do.
The WFM Prayer Missions Base is currently staffed by full
and part-time missionaries that press their own hearts to find
ways to give their lives to wholehearted passion for Jesus Christ. ·
“We
are all called to Pray,
Serve and Minister to Him in a
furnace of prayer”
